Teamwork as a factor for success

This year's audits were characterized by further development, integration, and close cooperation. In addition to confirming existing processes, the interlinking of the two standards was further expanded in order to create synergies and consistently link the contribution of quality and information security.
Both certification audits were carried out in close cooperation with all departments involved. “We worked together to resolve the overlapping issues from both standards and addressed the specific requirements in the respective areas, while maintaining transparent communication. Everyone supported each other, which noticeably advanced us as a team,” explains Nikola Derling, who led the audit as quality management representative.

Highest standards for clients and customers

This year, information security was dominated by the transition to the new ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard. Eleven new measures had to be implemented and evaluated. “A certified ISMS contributes significantly to building trust and is therefore very important. Security does not happen by chance at our company, but is planned, controlled, and reproducible,” says Kirstin Butters, Information Security Officer at EXCON.

Information security and quality as a competitive advantage

With its ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, the company demonstrates that it exercises the utmost care in handling sensitive information and relies on excellent, tested processes in quality management. Together, these two factors create sustainable added value. For clients and business partners, this means not only confidence in the protection of their data, but also the certainty that projects and services are delivered according to clearly defined, internationally recognized standards. In this way, EXCON creates a decisive competitive advantage in the market.

The successfully completed certifications impressively demonstrate that the company regards quality and information security as central pillars of its business activities. They are not only a seal of quality for the outside world, but also a driving force for the continuous optimization of internal processes. In this way, the company sends a clear signal of reliability to clients, customers, and partners.
